Some Do’s for a Great Website:

Visual Hierarchy – Use visual hierarchy to guide visitor’s attention to important elements first. Visual hierarchy assists the eye to follow a certain path on every page you visit on the internet. When used deliberately, it guides the visitor’s attention through a series of messages, toward a call to action.

Scrolling works better – Users like scrolling a lot more than they like clicking. See Facebook and Instagram for that matter. So if you are currently spreading the information about your product across many different pages, it’s time to reconsider. A word of caution, don’t overdo it.

Short sentences and simple words – The easier your website is to read, the more successful the website will be. Use the common words that visitors expect. Long sentences and fancy words add as a mental block to the reader. That’s not good. Avoid jargon. Use simple words.

Restrict text to 3-4 lines – Long paragraphs make reading website content boring and do not align with digital content best practices. Breaking up long paragraphs makes the content easier to consume. As a general rule, don’t write paragraphs longer than 3-4 lines.

Innovation and creativity get noticed – Be innovative, be yourself, be creative. Think of why people love you. Pour that essence into your website. It will reflect you, and your connects will definitely team up to promote it.
